After 10 years of not doing much of any art, barely touching a sketchbook, I'm going to try to get back into it. I could go on about how lots of irl shit happened and got in the way of me doing any art, but really, those are just excuses. A friend recently gave me a kick in the ass to stop bitching and just *make some art*. I'm hoping that in posting my sketches, I'll be able to keep myself accountable -- and possibly track my progress as well.

So I haven't really done anything on here in... god, it's been years. Shit's been fucked, real life came in and kicked me in the teeth, and I lost all motivation for doing literally anything other than read fanfic and be a lump in bed. The last art that I posted was from my portfolio for getting into college. Having zero art training, like at all, you can imagine exactly how well that went. To be perfectly honest, i'm not satisfied with that stuff anymore. Though I haven't work on literally anything art-wise since then, it's absolutely not representative of me - never was, tbh - as it was only made based on the requirements for the portfolio. My last art pieces that I'm still somewhat happy with, are, ironically enough, from way back when I was in highschool. Funny how art was my coping mechanism for life back then, and now that I'm finally in a better place, literally and figuratively, and I find myself coming back to my art. So we're 3 hours into the the tumblr boycott because of the new family friendly guidelines that just.... it fails, so bad. It doesn't work. Sfw content and blogs flagged and deleted left and right, while porn, bots, and the other actual major issues with the site that got it taken down from the app store in the first place are free to keep blogging.
